Wedding days are one of the happiest days in a couple’s life. Monique’s aim is to capture even the smallest details. Monique will talk to her clients openly and have detailed email correspondence with them leading up to the wedding day. The week before the wedding Monique will refine a plan for the Wedding day so the bride and groom can relax and enjoy their special day together. Monique will cover everything the couple wishes to have photographed in the style of photography a couple love most.
Portraits are a perfect gift to a loved one. They capture a moment in time that will last forever. Monique’s aim is to bring out the individual’s character in her work, creating an emphasis on capturing an emotion, be it photographing a newborn baby to the very elderly. Monique listens to her clients and works with them to create images they will love and cherish. Monique loves to work outside in nature, a sunrise, sunset or beautiful landscape can add a beautiful depth to an image. So too can an old rundown work site in Black and white, or the element of water in the background. Monique aims high to create more than just a family photo but an experience and a photograph that is timeless.
As a commercial photographer, Monique is commissioned to work on a broad mix of photographic assignments. Many of these assignments are on location in Sydney or around NSW. Whether it’s a simple corporate headshot for a website or a location portrait for an annual report, the core of Monique’s work is photographing real people in workplace environments. Corporate photography must tell the story of a company and reflect the values of the brand, whilst at the same time displaying the character and quality of the people who work there.
In the late 1990’s Monique worked for Rural Press in Dubbo for 4 years as a full-time photographer. Photographing news, lifestyle, sport, advertising and social events. Monique has also photographed for Style Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, Sunday Telegraph, Canberra Times, with some of Monique’s news story images published internationally while working for Rural Press. Monique continues to freelance for the Daily Telegraph as well a Australian Associated Press (AAP)
